The Dolomites are a limestone mountain range which make up the northern Italian Alps. These monumental structures bear testament to the powerful geological forces which have shaped the earth - and are continuing to do so. Within their folds and crevices formed by shifting, layering and compacting processes are held a narrative of deep time.
Using processes analogous to the formation of these amazing structure, I manipulate an earthbound palette of materials to evoke their essential qualities.
